You’ve poured your heart into your story—and now it’s time for a fresh pair of eyes to help you see it clearly.

My manuscript critique service offers thoughtful, supportive feedback that helps you strengthen your story while honoring your unique voice.

Think of this as a kind, honest conversation between storytellers. I’ll gently point out what’s working, what could use a little extra love, and how to bring your characters and plot to life in a way that connects deeply with readers.

📚 What You’ll Receive:

  • A detailed critique letter (2–5 pages) covering big-picture elements like plot, pacing, character development, voice, tone, and structure.

  • Encouraging, honest feedback that highlights your strengths while helping you spot areas that need polishing.

  • Inline comments throughout the manuscript to give specific examples and suggestions in context.

  • Tips that align with your genre and goals, whether you’re writing cozy mystery, fantasy, romance, or something in between.

📬 Submission Details:

  • Full critiques are for manuscripts between 20,000–120,000 words.

  • Files should be submitted as .doc, .docx, or Google Docs.

  • Don’t have a full draft yet? I also offer Mini Critiques for partials, first chapters, and works under 20,000 words!

My goal is to make valuable, compassionate feedback accessible—so I keep my rates simple and transparent:

  • Full Manuscript Critique – $0.003 per word
    (Example: a 60,000-word manuscript would be $180)

  • Optional Zoom Follow-Up – $20
    A 15–30 minute call where we can chat through your feedback, talk revisions, and brainstorm next steps. It’s like a virtual coffee date with your critique partner—notes in hand!

 

To book your spot, I ask for a 50% deposit up front, with the remaining 50% due when your critique begins.

  • I’ll confirm the total after reviewing your word count.

  • You will be sent a link to purchase your manuscript critique. 

  • Work will begin once the final payment is received.

Ready to get started? Here’s how the booking process works:

  1. 📋 Fill out the Critique Booking Form – Tell me about your manuscript and what kind of feedback you’re looking for.

  2. 🖊 Sign the Client Agreement – I’ll send over a simple agreement outlining what’s included. You will be given a tentative start date. 

  3. 💸 Pay the 50% Deposit – This secures your spot in my critique queue. To ensure I am able to give your manuscript the time it deserves, I am only booking 1-2 clients per month. 

  4. 📚 Send Your Manuscript – Once the deposit is in, you’ll upload or share your manuscript file, and I’ll confirm your start date!

From there, I’ll read your work with care and send you encouraging, thoughtful feedback to help your story shine. 💕

I’m open to critiquing most genres, including fantasy, contemporary, mystery, sci-fi, romance, and everything in between! However, I currently do not accept:

  • Poetry

  • Non-fiction

  • Erotica

  • Horror that is excessively graphic or violent (think torture, gore-for-shock-value, or splatterpunk styles)
